Your passport is worth more than your deposit
Money lost to a rogue casino is a fixed amount. A passport scan, a driving license photo and a selfie holding the document have no such ceiling. Those three files open bank accounts, pass verification at other sites and anchor loans in your name for years. Through 2026 we received a steady stream of reports from players whose documents, sent to an unlicensed gambling site during a fake verification step, resurfaced in fraud they had nothing to do with.
Why regulated sites ask, and why rogues ask harder
Licensed operators must verify identity by law, usually once, before your first withdrawal. The request is legitimate and refusing it means no payout anywhere regulated. Rogue sites copy the ritual for different reasons. The documents delay your withdrawal indefinitely, provide a pretext for rejection when a scan is declared unreadable for the fourth time, and are themselves the product, a verified identity package sells for real money in fraud markets. Some scam operations run the verification step even though no payout system exists behind it.
Before you upload anything
- Confirm the license is real first. Checking the register through our verification guide takes five minutes and settles whether anyone accountable will hold your files.
- Upload only inside your logged-in account area. Refuse every request to send documents by email, Telegram, WhatsApp or a chat widget. Reputable operators do not collect ID through messengers.
- Send only what the license requires. ID plus proof of address is standard. Card photos showing the full number, bank statements with balances or a video call holding your passport go beyond it.
- Watermark the scan. Write the site name and date diagonally across a copy before uploading. A watermarked image still passes review and becomes useless at any other site.
- Keep a log of what you sent, where and when. If the documents leak, that record tells you and the police where from.
If a shady site already has your documents
You cannot recall the files, so shrink what they can do. Tell your bank the ID may be compromised, ask your national credit bureau for a fraud alert or credit freeze, and report the site to the police so a case number exists before any misuse starts. If the document itself can be replaced, replace it. A new passport number quietly retires every copy of the old one.
The pattern to remember runs through everything on this site. A legitimate operator asks for your identity to pay you. A fraudulent one asks for it instead of paying you. When the document requests multiply while the withdrawal stalls, the paperwork is the point, and it is time to stop feeding it.
